Tips to get the best sound from your BOQARI Q1 earbuds using the iPod and iPhone

To enjoy the best possible sound from your BOQARI earbuds, you can use equalizer presets to change your iPod or iPhone's sound to better suit a particular music genre or style. For example, if you wanted to make dance music sound better, you would simply set the equalizer to the “Dance” preset.

To set the EQ in your iPod or iPhone:

Select Settings in the main menu. Then select “EQ” and select a music type.

To assign an EQ preset to an individual song using iTunes:

If you would like even more control over your music library’s audio quality, you can assign an equalizer preset to an individual song using iTunes. To do this, right-click (or ctrl+click) on the column header of the iTunes table to reveal all the "song attributes" in a drop-down list. Check “Equalizer” in the list. Now you will see a newly added column named “Equalizer” in the table. In each entry you can see a small button which looks like two small vertically aligned arrows. This button allows you to pull down the list of equalizer presets and choose one for that song.

To assign an EQ preset to multiple songs using iTunes:

If most of your music is from the same album or genre, you can set the EQ for multiple songs at once. To do this, multiple-select the songs you want to edit. Then right-click or ctrl+click the selected songs and choose “Get Info” from the menu that pops up. A new window containing all the editable attributes of the selected songs will appear. The list of equalizer presets is near the bottom-right corner. Choose an equalizer preset form the list, and the preset will be applied to all the selected songs.

After setting the equalizer for each song to your particular taste, turn on your iPod's equalizer by selecting any equalizer setting other than off. The song will play using the iTunes setting if the iTunes setting exists on iPod.

NOTE:

Currently, you cannot create custom equalizer settings on iPod, or transfer custom settings to iPod. The above method only works with the EQ presets.

Below you will find a listing and frequency chart for each of the standard EQ settings available in iTunes, iPod and iPhone. For optimum sound from your Boqari earbuds, we recommend starting with the “Deep” or “Treble Reducer” presets. Individual preference is also a factor so, try them all to ensure the best quality.

If your earbuds are new, don’t forget to burn them in using our “Burn In” page and test them out with our “Test Tracks” Page.

How to interpret the info below:

The human ear has an audible frequency range of roughly 20 Hz - 20 kHz. To help simplify the provided information, we have broken the frequency range into 3 basic groups. Lows (such as bass and bass instruments), Mids (such as piano, guitar and vocals), and Highs (such as cymbals, hi-hats and synth). The ranges are represented by varying colors in the illustration below. You can tell by the shape of the horizontal wave that crosses all ranges, how much of that frequency is represented in a sound. For instance, if the horizontal wave has a point in the middle but, drops down on the ends, that would mean that the sound contains more of a mid frequency tone.

This information is provided as a tool to help give you a better understanding of your iPod or iPhone's EQ presets.
